Royal New Zealand Ballet: Ballet for Beginners
Join the Royal New Zealand Ballet for a morning of movement and conversation, in celebration of Women's Health Week.
To celebrate Women's Health Week, the Royal New Zealand Ballet invites you to join us for a morning of movement and conversation.
Starting at 10am, our beginner ballet class is designed for complete first-timers, no dance experience required. Over an hour and 15 minutes, you’ll be guided through the fundamentals of ballet technique by First Artist Jennifer Ulloa.
Following the class, stick around for a 30-minute Q&A panel featuring RNZB health staff and dancers, who will share insights into how they look after their bodies and minds throughout a demanding career in dance. Topics will include injury prevention, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and the everyday habits that keep our dancers performing at their best.
Whether you’re curious about ballet, interested in health and wellbeing, or simply looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, this event is for everyone.
Registration Fee: $10 per participant
