About the event
Dr Sam Holford is a fellowship-trained gynaecologist with more than a decade of medical experience. He works as a consultant gynaecologist at Auckland City and Middlemore hospitals and consults privately through Auckland Gynaecology Specialists.
His areas of expertise include endometriosis ultrasound, persistent pelvic pain and advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery.
Dr Sam offers personalised, evidence-based care and believes patients are experts in their own bodies. He focuses on listening carefully, explaining diagnoses and treatment choices in plain language, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care.

Endo Warriors Aotearoa
Endo Warriors Aotearoa is a registered New Zealand charity led by lived experience. We provide inclusive endometriosis and menstrual-health education, practical resources, advocacy and community support across Aotearoa.
Our work challenges the misconception that endometriosis is simply a period condition and highlights its wider effects on health, relationships, education, employment and everyday life.
We also support open, informed conversations about periods while recognising that period health and endometriosis are distinct subjects. Through education, resources and advocacy, EWA helps people better understand their health, prepare for healthcare appointments and feel more confident seeking support.
